ADVANCEMENT THROUGH INNOVATION

At Nomacorc we believe strongly that no one closure provides optimum preservation for all wine varietals and wine-making styles. We strive to provide closure designs which ensure that each wine develops exactly as the winemaker has intended. And because we believe that the role of oxygen ingress through the closure is an absolutely essential element of winemaking, we’ve invested heavily in post-bottling chemistry research. This allows us to continue to lead the industry in the development of innovative closure products that provide peace of mind to winemakers around the world.

OXYGEN INGRESS IN WINES
Oxygen management throughout the winemaking process, including closure selection, is a critical consideration. Lighter-style white wines, for example, may be more susceptible to oxidation and require a closure that minimizes oxygen ingress. A full-bodied red wine, on the other hand, may require oxygen to achieve its full potential; in this case, a more breathable closure is ideal.
CONSIDERED BEST IN CLASS
Nomacorc’s portfolio of products provides solutions to the varying needs of the winemaker while always delivering consistently superior performance. We invest heavily in next-generation technologies that fuel continued product innovation. Before commercial introduction, we subject new products to a rigorous protocol consisting of long-term mechanical, sensory, and preservation tests along with extensive market validation testing. Closure performance is carefully monitored and measured at every step along the development path – from prototype to internal verification to market validation and, finally, commercial scale-up. Only after extensive manufacturing trials and statistical testing is a new product approved for commercialization.
